It is quick and easy:

2) Wait a few minutes and check your inbox. If you can’t find the email, check your SPAM or your Promotions folder. If after a few hours you still haven’t received it, send an email directly to catchyespanol@gmail.com.¬†

3) Once the class is set, I will send you a link so you can connect at the scheduled time and date. Click and start the class!

It is a free 30 minute class in which you will discover how I can help you through the Catchyespa√Īol Method.¬†

The objectives of this class are:

   1) Get to know the student and their interests

¬† ¬†2) Check the student¬īs¬† level and their previous knowledge of Spanish

¬† ¬†3) Set the student¬īs learning goals in order to personalize their classes

   4) Complete a sample of activities that that characterize the learning method

   5) Explain how the classes work

   6) Solve all the questions you might have

*If your child is small, we’ll all work together in this class. This will make him/her feel more confident. Setting the learning goals will be easier too.¬†

Si tu hijo/a es peque√Īo o peque√Īa, trabajaremos todos juntos en esta clase. As√≠ podr√° sentirse m√°s seguro y ser√° m√°s sencillo establecer los objetivos de aprendizaje.¬†

*If you are a teenager, it will not be necessary for your parents to participate in the class.

Except for the trial class, it is not recommended that parents participate in the class, appear on the screen, speak for the student, or help the student complete the activities.

Of course, if the student is very young, the parents can supervise the class and remain close in case he or she has any problems: they need to cut out a drawing; they cannot find their materials; they do not know how to handle the mouse correctly, etc

Good communication between the parents and the teacher is essential in providing the student with all the resources he or she needs in class (camera, microphone, worksheets, colors, etc.)

You only need this:

– Computer or laptop with webcam

– Headphones with a microphone to be able to hear the student well

– Quiet and well-lit place to see the student clearly

– Good Internet connection

The platform we will use in our classes is called Zoom. This platform is completely free and easy to use. Although it doesn¬īt require previous installation, it is highly recommended that you download the program to your computer. This will allow you to activate all its functions and improve the class experience. This way, we can do all kinds of activities using the shared whiteboard and the other tools included. Please download the program for free exclusively through the official website: https://zoom.us/download.

Before each class, you will receive an email with the link and password that allows access to the meeting. Simply click on the link and enter the password. At Catchyespa√Īol we take your security very seriously, so it is essential that you do not share the link with anyone.¬†¬†

Optionally, we can use Skype or Google Meets, even though it means losing the extra functionality of Zoom.

The frequency of Spanish classes may depend on the student’s interests, objectives and budget.¬†

Usually, students have 1, 2 or 3 classes per week.

Once the classes have started, it is recommended not to stop them for long periods of time.

It can happen to all of us from time to time ūüėČ. If you are late just let me know by sending me an email to catchyespanol@gmail.com as soon as possible.¬†¬†

Don’t worry! In this case you won’t miss the class but your time will be reduced depending on how long it takes you to get there. For example, if your class lasts 55 minutes and you are 15 minutes late, we will work during the remaining 40 minutes. Unfortunately, it won¬īt be possible to extend the class. After you, I will have to attend to other students’ bookings.¬†

If you cannot attend a class, you have two options: cancel or reschedule this class.

First, log in to your account by clicking on the “login” button (at the top right of the website). Then, click on “bookings” to manage your reservations. There you can cancel or change any of the classes you have booked. If you have any problem, just send me an email to catchyespanol@gmail.com¬†

Please note that you can only change the date of a class at least 24 hours in advance.¬†Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours¬†notice¬† won¬īt be refunded or replaced.

As a rule, classes are individual and personalized. Their aim is to be completely adapted to each student’s interests and needs.

However, in some cases we may consider classes in small groups (siblings or friends with the same level or similar learning objectives). If you are thinking about this possibility, do not hesitate and contact me: catchyespanol@gmail.com.

You may have several children. If you want all of them to learn Spanish, let me help you ūü§ó

To find out about the sibling discount, write to me at catchyespa√Īol@gmail.com. I will evaluate your case and make an offer that best suits your needs.

It’s simple! Subscribe to the blog so I can send you everything right at the time it’s published.¬†

You’ll be the first to know about new discounts. Moreover, you will receive a lot of resources that can help your children learn Spanish at home: tips for homeschoolers or bilingual families, games, flashcards, videos and more ūü§©

The student must have the required equipment before starting the class: microphone, webcam, good Internet connection, etc. If there is a technical problem on your part (you can’t hear the audio, you can’t see the video, it’s impossible to reconnect…) and this problem affects the class, the teacher does not take responsibility for it.¬†

On the contrary, if the problems are due to the teacher and the class cannot be taught, the student can book a new class free of charge.

About mentoring sessions

Mentoring sessions are a complement to the catchyespa√Īol classes. In these sessions, the teacher works directly with the students’ parents. The aim is to extend the learning of Spanish to the context in which their children live. Under the guidance of the teacher, parents can apply the Catchyespa√Īol Method at home and integrate the Spanish language into their daily lives. This way, they offer their children many opportunities to put it into practice.

In order for the teacher to properly guide the parents and offer them a plan adapted to their child¬īs needs, it is necessary that she has previously worked with the student. Knowing the child’s goals, interests, learning style and strengths in advance is absolutely necessary. Therefore, it is recommended to start with the mentoring sessions once the student has had the first 10 classes and the teacher has been able to observe his/her progress.

It¬īs a program of individual sessions where I work directly with the parents. Only in some cases, the student can be present.

The sessions last 45 minutes. Before each session, I will send you a questionnaire¬† we should work on later. During the session we evaluate your child’s improvements together. I also provide you with a detailed plan to help your child progress in Spanish faster between classes. To see all that is included in the mentoring sessions, click here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Continuity is the most important thing when it is a matter of guiding the student carefully and stepping up his or her learning pace.

Our mentoring program has been designed to support parents during the time their children are learning Spanish. Therefore, there will be a meeting with the parents for 45 minutes every two months.

Usually the teacher meets with one of the student’s parents, but it is also very positive that both parents can attend the session. The more people close to the student involved in his/her learning, the better ūüôā

You don’t need to worry about this! Session materials will always be available on Drive documents. Both you and the teacher will have access to them. You will be also able to make as many modifications as needed. This way it will be easier to keep in touch between sessions and to record the student’s progress.

Once you are subscribed to the mentoring program, you will make a payment of 49‚ā¨¬†every two months. If you wish to cancel your program, you just log in to your account and manage your subscription there. Please, contact me if you have any problem: catchyespanol@gmail.com.
